Citrix Dev Ops Engineer (Contract) Job Role The Role: A Citrix Development and Operations Engineer is a core engineering role responsible for all aspects of application build, deployment and monitoring. The Citrix Dev Ops Engineer has the goal of creating a zero touch, secure and sustainable delivery process built from the best in class tooling. We’re looking for someone who can help us: • Evaluate, plan and integrate technical solutions based on Citrix technologies • Guarantee a secure Citrix environment, ensuring production stability and performance • Analyse errors in systems and define corrective measures (you’ve got a good eye) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work towards global IT solutions • Design, develop, support and continually improve scalable end user workspace platforms on a global scale • Develop patterns so that all functional and non-functional capability can be monitored for health • Develop application structure and operation to make it easy to debug and support in test & production Experience and Skills • Excellent & Certified knowledge of Citrix technologies (Xen Desktop/Virtual Apps & Desktops/Citrix Cloud) with proven experience at large enterprise scale • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows Client and Server Operating Systems • Well-rounded End User Platform Virtualisation skills and exposure to supporting technologies • Engineering and design experience - not just HOW do we change this value in Citrix but WHY might we decide to and WHAT needs to be considered? • Experience of Automation (Power Shell/API) and Development (Gitlab) for CI/CD • Experience of working in complex infrastructure projects • Experience in AGILE methodologies • A background in the financial industry, or similar regulated enterprise environments • The ability to analyse, explain and document methodically.
