Housing Support Worker Are you looking for a role with autonomy and variety whilst making a difference to people's lives? Whilst you may be working in the community, at home, at the office or in a drop-in session you'll always be supported by a great friendly team. We are looking for a Housing Support Worker. (Internally known as Specialist Support Worker) to work predominately in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, and also surrounding areas with our Community Based Services Team. Housing Support Worker responsibilities: The main thing we are looking for is someone who enjoys working with people, is willing to learn and be proactive. No two working days will ever be the same. You could be: Supporting someone who is experiencing housing difficulties. Helping a family resettle into a more suitable home. Assisting someone to maximise their income and claim benefits. Empowering people to access community groups, employment, and training opportunities. Facilitating drop-in sessions. It would be great if you have knowledge of local services and experience in housing/benefits, although full training will be provided. Additional information The service operates primarily between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, and we can discuss flexible working for you if required. There will be times when you will need to drive within your role. Therefore, access to your own transport is needed. Benefitting from monthly supervision, a designated training pathway, and working with a knowledgeable, experienced and supportive team, you'll have all you need to develop within your role.
