Production Manager Cambridgeshire GBP45,000 Monday: Friday Days (Early Finish Fridays) Benefits: Bonus Scheme, Private Pension, Life Assurance, 23 Days Holiday + Banks Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialist products supplied through the UK and Europe, part of a larger global group. With a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for an experienced Production Manager to manage their production and process team. Role and Responsibilities: Managing 4 production supervisors, 40 indirect production staff and up to 30 agency support staff during busier periods Monitor productivity, ensuring planned staff levels, processing and quality targets are met Ensure that customer orders are processed efficiently and within targeted lead times Create, analyse and maintain daily reports, managing departmental KPis Budget control : GBP4m per annum : labour resource, agency spend, energy, wastage Staff appraisals, disciplinaries, meetings, reviews, RTWs, development plans, holiday requests CAPEX project and continuous improvements Health and safety management Lead, coach and inspire all members of the production team to exceed goals and fulfill customer orders Work closely with the warehousing and assembly departments Able to prioritise a busy workload, be confident in decision making and delegating to supervisors Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Must have previously worked as a Production or Manufacturing Manager Worked in a busy FMCG manufacturing industry Have lead a team of at least 50+ staff members Excellent written and presentation skills Financial skills : managing budgets, reporting, CAPEX projects Flexible approach with working hours, sometimes do longer hours / weekends during busy periods Knowledge of continuous improvements and lean manufacturing techniques Strong man: manager, able to train and develop people Able to work cross functionally across different.
