We are seeking a dedicated Senior Freshwater Consultant to join an innovative Freshwater Biology Team. As a leader in hydro-ecology, you will play a pivotal role in delivering quality data analysis, environmental monitoring, and expert solutions to address complex aquatic challenges. Collaborating closely with a team of cross-disciplinary experts, you'll contribute to projects driven by serving clients such as environment agencies, water and energy industries, and infrastructure developers. Responsibilities: Provide senior-level technical input, ensuring project delivery aligns with quality, budget, and time constraints. Conduct comprehensive data analysis and generate technical reports to communicate findings effectively. Engage in client liaison, including site visits as necessary. Lead project-specific fieldwork efforts and contribute to tender/proposal preparation. Mentor and support consultant-grade scientists, fostering their professional growth. Identify and cultivate new project opportunities with existing and prospective clients. Requirements: Hold a BSc or MSc in a relevant field, along with 3 years of professional experience in freshwater ecology. Keen knowledge of freshwater ecosystem policies, legislation, and associated challenges. Prove track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget. Bring experience in commercial consultancy, industry, or regulatory contexts. Hold a valid driving license. Experience in tender/proposal writing and subcontractor management. Familiarity with stakeholder engagement strategies. Membership or working towards membership in a relevant professional body.
