Estates and Facilities Directorate Grounds Maintenance Pest Control Team leader (Grounds Person) Ref: GG613 Starting salary from £21,761 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £23,144 per annum An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pest Control Team Leader (Grounds Person) to join the Facilities and Estates Directorate. The primary function of this role is to actively participate in planning and resource management for pest control to ensure that the University campus is well-presented, welcoming, and ready for use by all users and that University policies and procedures are adhered to. You will help maintain a pleasant, clean, and safe environment for all users of the UEA, solving standard day-to-day problems as they arise and controlling any species defined as a Pest through approved techniques and processes. Provide line management and support to the Pest Control technician. You will be required to work in unpleasant and sometimes unsanitary conditions, confined spaces and at height, within a range of temperatures and will be expected to work outside in all weathers. Reporting to the Grounds Maintenance Coordinator, you will have delegate responsibility for line management of other roles within the ground’s maintenance department assigned to their team and supporting and supervising any other Grounds maintenance staff and volunteers. This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
