As our Peer Support Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of supporting Peer Volunteers to use their lived experience to support our customers. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our volunteers and customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know! Typical day as a Peer Support Coordinator You’ll be working with colleagues and volunteers to provide formal Peer Support across the service. You’ll ensure there’s a presence in each of the 4 hubs each week, which are located in New Forest (Lymington & Hythe, Andover, Winchester and Eastleigh). The role includes but is not limited to: Recruitment, induction, support and supervision of our Peer Volunteers. Delivering the Peer Support Training programme. Promoting and supporting peer volunteers and colleagues to deliver Self-Management programmes with customers. Allocating appropriate peer volunteers to customers who wish to access peer support as part of their journey towards wellbeing. You bring Naturally caring approach with the desire to learn and make a difference. Passionate about and commitment to the empowerment of people experiencing mental distress, service customer leadership and peer support Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, peer volunteers, colleagues, and other professionals Ability to work with service users and volunteers in a person-centred, respectful, non-judgemental and sensitive manner Good understanding of customer leadership and peer support in a service/project environment Able to empower customers who have a range of needs and aspirations Our team Looking for a job where you really.
