Closing Date: September 15, 2023 Reporting to the Senior Lead, Environment, the Lead, Environment (Air) is responsible for implementing environmental programs vital to ensuring compliance relating to air quality at an operational level. This position will be aligned with and support our Business Unit Environment and Social Responsibility teams in the areas of permitting, community engagement and regional air quality. We are looking for someone that demonstrates a balance of operational experience, applied technical abilities in air quality, dust mitigation, regulatory processes, and the skills for critical thinking. This person will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both formal and informal settings. Someone who is proficient in environmental data management, analysis, and reporting is vital. Could this be the next exciting step in your career? Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Work closely with the site Operational Dust Lead to implement Elkview’s Fugitive Dust Management Plan Lead sustainability programs related to air quality, emissions management and fugitive dust control Provide technical direction and field support for emerging environmental issues Engage with the community on air quality issues Collaborate with, and develop and maintain working relationships with, Engineering, Processing, Maintenance, and Operations internal teams, as well as external agencies Understand applicable commitments, permits, acts, regulations, and associated requirements to advise management decisions and activities.
