We are inviting applications from candidates with the proven skills, qualifications and abilities for the position of Aquatic Attendant at the Cowichan Aquatic Centre on a casual basis. This position provides the public with an enjoyable and safe aquatic opportunity through the operation of the waterslides, assisting or leading aquatic programs or activities and performing custodial duties. Deployment to other duties may be required from time to time. Required Skills, Qualifications, and Abilities: Minimum 15 years of age and completion of Grade 8. Possession and maintenance of valid current Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid or AEC certifications. Demonstrable theory, practical skills and abilities related to water rescue, safety and prevention, program content and delivery and This includes assisting in the delivery of a wide range of innovative aquatic programs, services and events. Demonstrable ability to receive and implement directions , manage competing priorities, meet facility standards or ideals and work towards excellence in the operation of the Aquatic Centre. Ability to requisition supplies, materials, equipment in a timely fashion, and operate in a manner that is efficient and cost effective. Basic knowledge and other aspects of the life-cycle planning,.
