We are looking for 10 full-time, permanent cooks for our Hotel and Restaurant located in Halifax. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience is desired but we will accept less experience motivated candidate as well. A high school diploma is mandatory with good command on English language. A $17/hr will be paid as starting salary for a minimum of 35 hrs per week. A 4% vacation pay and other standard benefits will be applicable as per the company policy. The job duties include the following: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Order supplies and equipment, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory andrecords of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas, Recruit and hire staff Manage kitchen operations as per the prescribed Menus Manage the stewarding staff to offer a clean work environment Keep up the high sanitization standards as per RCR group.
