A fantastic opportunity is now available for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse RMN to join a specialist young people’s mental health service as a Clinical Lead Nurse at their modern, purpose-built facility in Accrington. Based primarily around the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy model of care, the MDT implements tailored programmes of therapeutic rehabilitation and support to young people aged 13 - 19 years experiencing complex social, behavioural, and emotional issues. Psychiatric backssment, stabilisation, rehabilitation, and step-down services are provided across 2 10-bedded sister units, each carefully designed to offer a comfortable and private safe space, with plans in the works to expand for solo placements and semi-independent flats as well. As Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring that clinical activities and processes are carried out to the highest standard. Working closely alongside your team, you will manage, advise and mentor more junior nurses in their clinical practice, contribute to new developments in policy and procedure, and foster a culture of continuous improvement so that the team can continue to support young people in achieving a long-term, sustainable recovery. Due to being a smaller independent service, there is a much less intensive environment here than in a traditional hospital setting. As a result, you will be able to enjoy a more equal work-life balance and a greater focus on the proactive leadership elements of the role. This is a permanent, full-time 38.5h role for a Clinical Lead Nurse RMN, with night or day shift patterns available. Part-time may also be considered for this role. Person specification: Candidates must have: Active registration with the NMC as a Registered Mental Health Nurse RMN. Previous experience in CAMHS.
