Principal Ecologist Penguin Recruitment is working with a fantastic, independent, Devon: based Ecology Consultancy. They are looking for a Principal Ecologist to join them. This is a permanent position based in Devon. Your package includes: GBP47,000 : GBP57,000 per annum + bonus scheme Flexible working hours CPD Service 25 days holiday + bank holidays The company are a highly respected consultancy that offer nationwide services to a variety of clients. They offer bat surveys and other protected species surveys; Phase I and NVC habitat surveys; ecological impact backssments; and European protected species licence applications. If successful you will manage all ecological aspects of projects, often large/complex projects, ensuring best practice is embedded throughout our processes and delivery is to a high standard. Your main duties: Preparing and reviewing competitive bids and tenders Managing site surveys and approving ecology proposals and reports for both technical robustness and branding Lead business development for the organisation Recruit new and develop existing ecologists Line management duties To be successful you must have: Experience in managing large/complex projects in the ecology sector within a professional consultancy. You will already be working at an Accomplished, and in some areas Authoritative, level and will have detailed knowledge and experience to carry out highly complex, specialist or non: standard tasks confidently and consistently. Educated to degree level in a relevant subject and hold CIEEM membership. Hold a full driving licence and your own car, to use when a company vehicle is not available.
