interactionual Health and Safeguarding Coordinator We are seeking a interactionual Health and Safeguarding Coordinator to support the safeguarding function within a Youth Work charity in the West Midlands. You will be working for a Youth Work charity that always puts young people at the heart of everything they do. They provide an incredible range of activities from football to mindfulness, dancing to cooking (to be honest there isnt much they dont do! ) in a safe, state-of the-art space. Position: interactionual Health and Safeguarding Coordinator Salary: £32,000 (pro rata)Hours: Part time, 20hrs per week - including some evenings and weekends. Location: Wolverhampton Benefits: 33 days holiday (pro-rata), Employee benefits programme, Employee Assistance programme Closing date: 30th September 2023About the role: Reporting into the Head of Youth Work this is a senior role within the organisation. You will support the safeguarding function particularly around interactionual health including providing training and support directly to the young people and to staff. Working to coordinate Safeguarding concerns and referrals including liaising with parents, carers, Social Care, education, health and the police. Ensuring that all staff are appropriately trained and confident to recognize and report safeguarding and to represent the organisation at external multi-agency meetings. About you: As interactionual Health and Safeguarding Coordinator you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience. Demonstrable experience of working with groups of vulnerable young peopleExperience of the issues affecting young people, particularly vulnerable or excluded groupsExperience of working within interactionual health and extensive experience of safeguardingExcellent communication skills, especially with young people and excluded groupsAbility to network and build sustainable working partnerships with other agencies and key stakeholdersAbility to organise.
