Epitaxy Technician Cambridge : Onsite 12 Month Contract : highly likely to be extended. Responsibilities: -Characterization of semiconductor material using appropriate tools (on the job training provided). -Use the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to input data as instructed by engineer and/or documentation to maintain the process flow. -Basic operation of one or more MOCVD reactors : (un)loading In P substrates and transferring product to characterization area. -Support maintenance tasks on the MOCVD reactors, this will require use of breathing apparatus. -Use of chemicals for some characterization procedures and cleaning of small reactor parts. -Provide effective handover to other technicians and engineers. -Actively undertake 5S. -Work in accordance with the companies quality and safety policies. -Taking ownership of consumable parts management and purchasing. -Working with engineers to develop and document new processes effectively. To be considered for the role you will need the following: -Ability to follow detailed written and/or verbal instructions. -Proven ability to take accurate notes relating to the processes. -Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity. -Ability to use web: based or bespoke software tools on PC. -Willing to shave clean for maintenance days. -Candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills Nice to have: -Experience in running material/product backssment/evaluation tools and accurately recording data. -HNC in a relevant subject such as chemistry, physics, electronics. -Confident working safely with chemicals. -Experience in MOVPE epitaxy growth systems or similar systems.
