Arrears Specialist Reading, Newbury and West Berkshire Permanent, Part Time (30hpw) Salary circa £32,500 pa (pro rata) plus great benefits and health cash plan! Home, a place where you belong This is a great opportunity to join our Housing Manager team as an Arrears Specialist, working with customers to ensure their rent payments are made promptly and supporting them when needed. This is the perfect job for you if you like to have a focus on one part of housing management in and around communities in Ready, Newbury and Berkshire. Typical day as an Arrears Specialist Sustaining tenancies, ensuring tenants get off to the best possible financial start to succeed in their tenancy. You’ll have an overview of all the customer debt in our region using our accounting system and rent programme to analyse data and reach arrears targets with the team. You’ll liaise with internal and external customers such as pursuing tenant rent arrears, contacting local authorities, working with our Financial Inclusion Team, and attending court. We’re committed to reaching out to our customers who are struggling to manage their finances and risk homelessness due to rent debt and are looking for experience of using preventative methods to work with at risk households. Through visibility, engagement with customers and working on debt management and budgeting plans, we aim to ensure customers have the right support and information to reduce rent debt.
