Senior Ecologist Penguin Recruitment are working with an expert environmental and engineering consultancy who are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join their central Bristol office. This is a permanent role based in Bristol. Your package includes: GBP35,000 : GBP45,000 per annum Hybrid + flexi working Buy and sell holiday scheme You will be joining a multidisciplinary office that includes Ecology Consultancy, Urban Design/Masterplanning, Architecture, Landscape Planning and Design, Town Planning, EIA and Graphic Communications departments. The office is open plan and benefits from a friendly and sociable atmosphere. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to continue to develop their experience across a range of sectors and projects. This includes major infrastructure and transportation, strategic and regeneration residential schemes, energy and resources, and nationally significant projects, so you will have an exciting and diverse range of projects to work on. To be successful, you must have: A degree in Ecology, Conservation, Earth Sciences or a related topic Be a full member of CIEEM 5 years proven experience in an ecology consultancy A wide understanding of terrestrial ecological issues Experience of backssments including PEA, Ec IA, Ecology Chapters of Ec IA and HRA Knowledge of UKHab classification and the Defra Metric Your main duties will be: Taking a lead in the management of ecological projects, including managing commercial risk of the ecological aspects. Resource management, including management of the delivery of field: work. Client and consultee engagement regarding approach to and conclusions from ecological baseline and backssment work. Reporting and backssment work, with consideration of Biodiversity Net Gain being a central part of your considerations.
