Typical issues: sustainable development, alternative energy, the preservation of wilderness areas, animal rights. Estimated Course Enrolment : 200 students Estimated TA Support : 225 Hours Class Schedule : Fridays 12:00-15:00 Please note, the delivery method for this course is currently in-person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department. Sessional Dates of Appointment : January 1st, 2024 - May 8th, 2024 Salary : $9457.89 Sessional Lecturer I; $9930.79 Sessional Lecturer I Long Term; $10121.77 Sessional Lecturer II; $10326.62 Sessional Lecture II Long Term; $10362.76 Sessional Lecturer III; $10570.02 Sessional Lecturer III Long Term Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum Qualifications : Ph. D. in philosophy (or related); strong academic record and professional promise; ongoing research and scholarly publications in the field; relevant and recent teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who have clearly demonstrated teaching excellence in the subject matter. Description of Duties : All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding.
