SALARY $16.72 - $18.26 hourlyLOCATION Main Campus (BG), OHJOB TYPE Full-TimeJOB NUMBER BGSU00400DIVISION Campus OperationsDEPARTMENT Campus ServicesOPENING DATE 04/10/2024CLOSING DATE ContinuousPAY GRADE 25 Position Summary Performs various Paint Shop duties under the direction of a Superintendent or higher-level supervisor, including cleaning and painting interiors and exteriors of buildings and other surfaces. Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities Paints interiors and exteriors of University buildings and other surfaces. Paints and/or makes repairs to flooring. Cleans and removes graffiti from buildings and sidewalks. Refinishes furniture. Maintains Paint Shop and equipment as directed. This list of essential duties, tasks, and responsibilities is not all-inclusive; individual will perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Competencies Knowledge of basic mathematical skills Knowledge of basic reading skills Ability to carry out verbal and/or written instructions Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written Detail oriented and highly accurate Ability to work in changing environment Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to interact effectively with students, faculty and/or staff or the public and represent BGSU appropriately Ability to coordinate or lead others in accomplishing work activities Knowledge of basic computer skills Ability to operate and use manual and power custodial equipment Ability to operate hand and/or power tools appropriate to the trade Ability to operate hand and/or power grounds keeping equipment Minimum Qualifications The following Experience is required: Three to six months related experience required The following Education is required: High school diploma or GED required Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the University's insurance Deadline to apply: The search committee will review applications until the position is filled; however, for best consideration, applications should be provided by ' April 25, 2024 '.
