Full Time Role with 40 Hours a Week 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM on Weekdays Must be Available between 9:00 AM an 5:30 PM on Weekends Rotating Weekends and Holidays Primary Job Responsbilities will focus on Patient Meals, but Some Retail Work May be Required Full Benefit Position Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Patient Services Lead will be responsible for all activities within the assigned area including assisting the supervisor/manager with daily operational functions of the patient services area, training and direction of staff, conducting inspections to evaluate adherence to quality control standards, monitoring diet compliance, monitoring patient and nursing satisfaction, and food quality. Responsibilities Assists department management in coordinating and achieving department goals. Works various positions where needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of service. Assists with assigning work tasks, monitoring employee performance and schedules, completing and monitoring quality control logs, training employees and building an effective work unit. Evaluates patient meal selection, dietary restrictions/allergies, tray completion, tray delivery, and tray retrieval process on a daily basis ensuring that work unit follows proper diet protocols, safety guidelines and sanitation guidelines. Responsive to patient?s needs at all times. Resolves patient concerns or complaints immediately and/or reports needed assistance to supervisor as appropriate.
