Practice Area: Litigation - Workers' Compensation - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm in Agoura Hills, CA is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Non-Litigation Attorney.Job Overview:The successful candidate will support other attorneys in handling their cases, reviewing workers' compensation legal files, providing written status reporting, appearing for hearings, depositions, or trials, and delivering timely reporting of case dispositions to clients.Duties:Review workers' compensation legal filesWork up cases and provide written status reporting showing all analysis, actions, and recommendationsAppear for hearings, depositions, or trialsProvide timely reporting of case dispositions to clientsSupport other attorneys in handling their casesRequirements:5 years of experience practicing as a California Workers’ Compensation Defense attorneyAdmitted and in good standing with the State Bar of CaliforniaExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail, with a commitment to outstanding customer serviceAbility to juggle multiple tasks efficiently with little supervisionClient-focused, with the ability to deliver timely action-based resultsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suiteAbility to dictate reportingStrong reading comprehension and data entry skills with a focus on accuracyExperience with Case Management SoftwareAbility to interact effectively and clearly with the public, clients, and employeesHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressureMust possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, and take pride in work productEducation/Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the State Bar of CaliforniaBenefits Offered:Competitive compensation package including 100% company-sponsored employee Medical, Vision, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life insurance benefits401k planPaid time offOptional voluntary dental and ancillary plansExcellent work/life balance in a collaborative and casual work environment
