We are looking for amazing Assistant Teachers to support our children and classroom educators. We have full and part-time openings for nurturing, inclusive, engaging, and reliable people of all faiths to work with our educators in caring for children, ages six weeks to 5 years. Job Responsibilities: Engage in developmentally appropriate play with our childrenFacilitate activities with our childrenHelp with classroom cleaning and activity preparationChange diapersPrepare food and spaces for childrenBe flexible with children ages birth - five yearsAny other tasks that the Director/educator deem necessary for the success of our childrenWork 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for full-time shifts8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 - 5:00 p.m. for part-time shiftsFull-time employees are benefit eligible including health, dental, vision, and pet insurance; generous PTO and holiday schedule/pay; tuition reimbursement; JCC membership; discounts on JCC programming for you and any dependents; a values-based work environment.Current CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, but we will provide training.Rate of pay: Starts at $17.00/hour (based on experience and education) Hiring Requirements: Minimum age of 18 yearsReliable transportationHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience with children age birth - five yearsPass a successful background check including fingerprints All employees of the Springfield JCC are responsible for creating relationships with the members, to add value to their membership, and to enhance their sense of belonging with the JCC community.
