Our services include emergency food transitional housing and education for homeless and street-involved youth; hospice palliative care; community mental health programs; and supportive housing programs. By integrating a Harm Reduction framework at Good Shepherd, we can decrease barriers to service and better support some of our community's most marginalized members. This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Barrett Centre - Integrated Health Team Accountable to the Director of Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes - Barrett Centre, the Mental Health Clinician is a member of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working in alignment with the Housing First philosophy and principles of harm reduction and trauma-informed care. You will provide services to individuals and families affiliated with the Reaching Home program and others impacted by mental health issues, substance use and housing precarity/ homelessness. Care will be provided in a variety of office, home and community settings. All services provided will support clients in achieving housing stability, improving quality of life, and optimizing health and well-being. You will also provide mental health intervention including counselling, referral and advocacy. What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum undergraduate degree in a related health or human services field (social work, nursing) Experience providing counseling, case management and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing mental health challenges and impacted by poverty, homelessness, substance use criminalization, social isolation etc. Commitment to and experience working within a harm reduction framework Strong clinical.
