JR Vinagro is looking for a full time, in office Staff Accountant to join our team in Johnston, RI. Position Overview: The Staff Accountant plays a pivotal role in our finance team, contributing to the management of financial transactions, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring strict adherence to accounting principles and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for multiple entities Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies Assist in regulatory compliance and reporting, including tax filings and audits. Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing changes to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and provide support as needed Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in accounting software and programs Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical financial practices We offer Medical, Dental and Vision insurance. 401k.
