Job Overview: The primary function of the Scale Clerk is to schedule orders, answer phone calls, and perform scale and front desk operations. This is a Part-Time non-exempt position, M-F during normal business hours and occasional Saturdays throughout the busy season. This position reports to the Office Manager. Essential Job Functions: Greet, welcome and direct visitors appropriately. Notify company personnel of visitor arrival. Answer or refer inquiries visitor inquiries. Maintain employee and department directories. Calculate costs for drivers based on vehicle weight. Keeps a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Monitor outside vehicles in the yard. Answer phone calls and provide customers with accurate information and willingness to help solve problems. Work with customers to solve basic issues without management intervention. Enter accurate customer data into the computer system while taking orders. Provide availability, size, and pricing information to customers regarding temporary dumpster rentals. Facilitate communication between customers, drivers, and management. Report customer complaints and issues to the proper team members to facilitate issue resolution. Follow up with customers who have inactive cans to generate additional revenue. Qualifications/Experience/Education: High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of position related experience – preferred. Excellent communication and organization skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Word / Microsoft Outlook). Ability to multi-task. Able to pass a 7-year criminal background check. #INDAOJ Powered by JazzHR
