EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OFThe UNITED STATES EDUCATIONALFOUNDATION IN PAKISTAN Applications are invited from American and Pakistani citizensfor the position of Executive Director of the United StatesEducational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) , the FulbrightCommission in Pakistan. USEFP is a bi-national U.S.-Pakistanieducational organization based in Islamabad that administers theFulbright Exchange Program, EducationUSA, and other internationaleducation and exchange programs. The Executive Director reports toa binational Board of governmental and non-governmental appointeesand is the public face of the Commission.Responsibilities: The Executive Director manages theoverall operations of the U.S. governments flagship internationalacademic exchange program between Pakistan and the United States,while developing, planning, and implementing a strategic vision toensure the continued competitiveness of the Fulbright Program inPakistan. The Executive Director manages and directs theadministrative operations of the Fulbright Commission, leading astaff of up to 100 employees, within the framework established bythe Board and the requirements of the two governments. They arealso responsible for ensuring compliance with policies andlegislation in both countries, and for responding to the changingneeds and opportunities in Pakistan and U.S. higher education.Preferred Qualifications: An advanced degree from a U.S. university or college; 10 - 15 years of relevant work experience in higher educationand research, academic mobility, educational exchange, budgetallocation, and nonprofit management; Familiarity with U.S. and Pakistan higher educationsystems; Substantial experience in program, fiscal, and personnelmanagement; Experience in developing strategic partnerships orfundraising; Strong interpersonal, public-speaking, and diplomaticskills; Commitment to Fulbright values and especially to fosteringdiversity and inclusion in the workplace, as well as in theFulbright program; English fluency (Urdu not required).
