Pre- Litigation Paralegal

The Pre-Litigation Paralegal oversees the entire process of personal injury cases, from initiation to completion. This role requires the ability to gather, analyze, and research information and documents, handle a moderate to high caseload, excel in multitasking and prioritization, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be a collaborative team member, comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Responsibilities include managing all pre-litigation communications and serving as the primary point of contact among clients, attorneys, medical providers, lien holders, and insurance companies. Coordinating and overseeing clients' medical care, educating them on case progress, setting realistic expectations, and escalating issues to attorneys as needed. Handling all case-related medical records and bills, preparing demands, overseeing negotiations and offers, aiding in the medical bill and lien reductions, assembling settlement packages, and managing client sign-offs. Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing a Plaintiff's personal injury caseload. Desired qualifications include exceptional interpersonal skills, unwavering integrity, adaptability to procedural changes, keen attention to detail, self-motivation, strong teamwork, multitasking abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency in MyCase, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and all Microsoft Office Suite programs. Responsibilities:• Proficiency with computers, telephone lines, and other related office equipment• Professional attitude and appearance• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Excellent planning and reporting skills• Excellent organizational skills• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks• Customer service attitude• Follow up skills• Ability to handle and keep client information confidential• Proficiency in legal administration and writing• Sense of urgency• Ability to make judgment calls• Expected to be highly accurate• Ability to learn and adapt quickly• A positive outlook and vision• Must stand by the service we deliver• Lifelong learner who enjoys improving knowledge• Strong professionalism both in appearance and presentation• Can work independently• Ability to direct and facilitate conversations Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred• Paralegal Certification; preferred• A minimum of 3 years of Personal Injury (Plaintiff) experience, required• Bilingual is a plus Compensation: $55,000 - $58,500 About Company: At Inkelaar Law Injury Attorneys, we are a family of trial injury lawyers with strong ties to the Lincoln and Omaha communities.
