The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an expected start date of September 1, 2024. The successful candidate must have a Ph D in a relevant field that is applicable to Physical Therapy by the date of the appointment, or shortly thereafter, and be a licensed physical therapist, or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physiotherapists in Ontario. Candidates must have expertise and considerable clinical experience (at least 5 years) that would enable them to teach in the MSc PT curriculum. Candidates should also have an established record of excellence in teaching, curriculum development, mentoring learners, as well as an ongoing commitment to pedagogical inquiry and teaching innovation. This record of excellence in teaching and a commitment to pedagogical inquiry can be demonstrated with teaching evaluations, teaching accomplishments, awards and accolades, and a strong teaching dossier that includes a statement of teaching philosophy, career goals, experience as a course instructor, and a record of excellence in teaching in both small and large enrolment classes, curriculum development, and mentoring learners. The successful candidate should have scholarly accomplishments, demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at conferences, and strong endorsements by referees of high standing.
