The Goods In Warehouse Operative will be responsible for managing all incoming goods into the site's stores, including quality checking the products, as well as assisting the Dispatch Supervisor with the day-to-day duties of dispatch. In addition to this, you will be required to assist with other warehouse/operations duties as needed and instructed by the Packaging Manager. Role: Goods In Warehouse Operative Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm Location: Penshurst, Tonbridge Our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturer with an excellent reputation for high-quality goods, is looking to recruit a Goods In Warehouse Operative to join their team permanently. The Goods In Warehouse Operative will be responsible for managing all incoming goods into the site’s stores, including quality checking the products, as well as assisting the Dispatch Supervisor with the day-to-day duties of dispatch. In addition to this, you will be required to assist with other warehouse/operations duties as needed and instructed by the Packaging Manager. Your Responsibilities will include: – Booking all deliveries from the Goods In area and entering all information into the companies systems. – Printing all relevant labels as part of the booking process. – Inspect the condition of goods and report damaged goods to the Packaging Manager. – Check quantities of goods received against delivery notes and purchase orders and immediately report discrepancies to the relevant department lead. – Move Quality Controlled approved materials and store them in the correct storage areas. – Move goods around the warehouse into/out of racking areas. – Move pallets as required depending on space constraints. – Organise the warehouse and other storage areas. – Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles during deliveries and despatches– Assist with the preparation of consignments and outbound shipping, as required. – Pick components for issue to assembly, as required. – Assist with periodic stock.
