Position Overview Velocity Truck Centres is Western Canada's first and longest standing DTNA Elite support certified group of facilities in Canada. The Regional General Manager (GM) will be accountable for overseeing our business operations in the Vancouver Island region. The GM will be accountable for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. The GM duties also include guiding management staff in their assigned region, setting performance objectives, evaluating, and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld, and preparing operations and financial reports. In addition, the GM will be accountable to lead and manage people, ensure operations run smoothly, and achieve revenue targets. Compensation Plan Competitive base salary. Principal Responsibilities Lead, manage, and influence the operations in the region - interfacing with all levels within the operational area - and ensure a consistent delivery of the P&R Truck Centre / Velocity Truck Centre brand. Lead, manage and influence infrastructure maintenance items for the facilities including working with third party providers and suppliers. Participate as a local representation on building construction for new facilities or facility modifications. Assists with the identification, establishment and implementation of operational best practice policies and procedures; incorporates lean principles, and effects continual improvements in operational.
