Volt is immediately hiring for an Fabricator in Miramar Ca.As a Fabricator you will: * Apply advanced electrical and mechanical theory, and related knowledge to fabricate and / or modify, various types of production and development equipment. * Perform metal fabrication techniques, welding, machining, and electrical wiring, including 480-volt power systems and low-voltage control systems. * Assembles and tests production motor control devices, switch panels, and other electrical equipment and components. * Use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut and fit components into the final product * Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and practices related to industrial wiring and control systems * Plans layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or new equipment. * Uses advanced electrical skills to troubleshoot, and debug electrical equipment, including PLC's & Motion Control Systems. * Uses advanced mechanical skills to diagnoses mechanical malfunction of operational equipment. * Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of fabrication equipment, electrical systems, and control panels to ensure optimal performance and longevityThis is a full-time 3-month opportunity, with the potential of temp-to-hire.The ideal candidate will have:. * High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or vocational training in welding, fabrication, and electrical systems is a plus) * Proven experience in industrial fabrication, welding, machining, electrical wiring, or related fields * Solid working knowledge of electrical products to troubleshoot and test * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume * Knowledge of AC, DC, High and Medium voltage, low voltage circuits and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). (Computer programs including AutoCAD, and Excel. ) * Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move heavier objects with assistance * Relevant certifications (e.g., welding certifications, electrical licenses) may be required or preferred.Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am-2:30pm (flexible) Pay: $35-45 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
