Are you a freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? I have a requirement on HS2 on a 12 month contract in Birmingham. Responsibilities: Lead the commercial and contractual aspects of assigned projects within the HS2 framework. Manage the full lifecycle of quantity surveying activities, including cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and final account settlement. Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to ensure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and deadlines. Provide expert advice on commercial strategies, risk management, and value engineering initiatives. Mentor and support junior members of the quantity surveying team. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Proven experience (minimum X years) in quantity surveying roles within the construction or infrastructure sector, preferably with exposure to large: scale projects. Chartered status with a relevant professional institution (RICS, CIOB, ICE, etc. ) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of contract management principles and proficiency in contract administration software. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
