Our Certified Nursing Assistants at Bishop Gadsden provide quality care by assisting residents with personal, nutritional, and restorative care. The successful candidate will be a resident advocate that is friendly, energetic, organized and has compassion for and the desire to work with the elderly. Responsibilities Provide personal care for residents, including bathing, showering, shampooing, oral hygiene, skin care, hair care, nail care, dressing, and shaving as needed Assist residents with nutritional needs including serving, feeding, and providing proper fluid requirements Assist with procedures measuring weight, height, vital signs, specimen collection, intake, output, and catheter care as needed Communicate and cooperate with other members of multidisciplinary healthcare team to accomplish plan of care Qualifications Exceptional Interpersonal skills in order to exchanging information and maintain a courteous relationship with the residents, families, visitors and employees Ability to communicate in English effectively, verbally and written Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written material Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds /-) Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time Required Education and Experience Must be a Certified Nurse’s Aide listed on the South Carolina Nurse Aide registry with an active certification and be in good standing High school graduate or equivalent Be BG!
