Description:

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine radiological x-ray and CT procedures as required. This role provides direct patient care to individuals of all ages, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism are maintained. Responsibilities: Conduct routine radiological x-ray and CT procedures as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers. Ensure patient comfort and cooperation during imaging procedures. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper positioning of patients for accurate images. Provide direct patient care, addressing the needs of patients of all age groups. Explain procedures to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during and after imaging procedures. Maintain accurate and thorough records of imaging procedures, patient information, and any observed anomalies. Ensure proper documentation of radiation doses administered. Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance, punctuality, and safety guidelines. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures. Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment as necessary. Qualifications: Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiography Program. 1-2 years of Radiology or X-Ray experience. Required Certifications/Licensures: ARRT Registry eligible, obtained within one year of hire. Organizational Skills. Communication Skills. Interpersonal Skills. Customer Relations. Potential exposure to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms. Requirement to switch between tasks of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. May be scheduled as needed, including overtime. Physical Requirements: Near-normal vision with clarity at various distances and the ability to distinguish colors. Good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination. Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motions.
