Entry-Level recruitsmust complete additional testingprior to the closing date of this announcement in order to be considered. HOW TO APPLY The process to apply has changed from prior recruitment roundsplease read all instructions carefully and be sure to complete each step. Entry-Level Application Process: Entry-level Police Officers Application is a two-step process including an application and testing. The required exam is administered by National Testing Network (NTN), and the City's application must be filled out on the City website. The City's online application must be completed, and all required materials submitted via the web portal by the closing date noted on an open recruitment. You must create an account and fill out all required information, answer supplemental questions, and submit a resume. Go to the City Application to complete this portion of the process. Pre-Employment Testing--The Lincoln City Police Department works with the National Testing Network in an ongoing recruitment effort. If no positions are currently open, applications will be kept on file until an opening occurs. To schedule a test, go to nationaltestingnetwork.com, select Law Enforcement, and sign up for the Lincoln City Police Department. What to expect at the www.nationaltestingnetwork.comwebsite: Completion of the application process for testing with NTN. Review all information related to the Lincoln City Police Department officer position, including minimum requirements, salary, and benefits. Detailed information about the testing process for both the entry-level test and ORPAT testing. (ORPAT not required at time of application.) Opportunity to take online practice tests atwww.frontlinetest.com. Schedule your own convenient test time. Tests are offered multiple times a week, including Saturdays. Take high-quality job simulation tests in a standardized, fair testing environment. Upon completion of the entry-level exam, all candidate scores are automatically forwarded to the Lincoln City Police and Human Resources Departments. Applicants who attain a passing score of at least 75% on each of the entry-level exams (video, reading, and writing) will be reviewed for advancement in the selection process. Candidates with an average score of 85% or higher will be considered first. The City of Lincoln City requires all portions of the application to be completed and turned in before the closing date on the posting to be eligible for consideration. National Testing Network is a service provided to conduct entry-level testing in a standardized, professional environment. National Testing Network does not replace the Lincoln City Police Departments responsibility and decision-making in the testing process. All candidate results are provided to the Lincoln City Police Department where the final decisions are made. Candidates must keep in mind that they have to pass the physical abilities (ORPAT) test at the end of the DPSST training period as part of the minimum qualifications for employment.
