ECU Health is seeking a travel Certified Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Greenville, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: TravelECU Health is hiring experienced surgical technologists for opportunities within our Travel Staffing Program. Opportunities are available in the laboratories at many of our nine hospitals across eastern North Carolina. Essential job functions include:- Has the ability to scrub and has working knowledge and understanding for all types of surgical procedures- Displays dexterity in use and handling of surgical equipment, instrumentation and assisting physicians- Maintains integrity, safety and efficiency of sterile field- Work under the supervision and authority of a surgeon to facilitate safe and effective direct patient carePosition summaryMaintains the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Prepares and arranges instruments and supplies. Assists the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies. Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development. Participates in Service Excellence Program.Minimum Requirements- At least two years of experience- Graduation from an approved surgical technology program, certification from a military program or graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN/LPN)- Certification in the field of surgical technologist- Active American Heart Association BLS certification- Not currently employed by ECU Health or separated for 92 days, having left in good standingGeneral statementIt is the goal of ECU Health and its entities to employ the most qualified individual who best matches the requirements for the vacant position.Offers of employment are subject to successful completion of all pre-employment screenings, which may include an occupational health screening, criminal record check, education, reference, and licensure verification.We value diversity and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
