Job Description 3rd Shift - Full Time Job Description: * Machine Shop/Assembly Inspector (Continuous Improvement Associate): - Caterpillar South Milwaukee * 3rd Shift Position * Primary role is machining and assembly inspection * Participate as a project team member and assists in data collection and analysis to support complex problem solving projects. * Review process improvements that support the project. * Be able to perform process capability studies under the guidance of an engineer Candidate Requirements: * Proficient with typical Microsoft applications * Capable of using tools including but not limited to Inside and outside micrometers, depth gage, vernier, caliper. * Ability to read and interpret standards and blue prints * Strong communication skills * Capable of working up to 12 hours when needed * Ability to work in confined spaces * Comfortable working at heights up to 15 feet Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with NDT testing * Magnetic particle testing * SAP experience ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: * This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin * Shift is 3rd - Full Time * This position starts at $24.16 to $26.18 hr -(depending on experience) plus an additional $1.00 for shift premium. * No relocation assistance is available. * Safety is a core value at Caterpillar.
