The successful candidate will represent clients in various bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases. They will prepare legal documents, attend court hearings, manage caseloads, and ensure excellent client service.Duties:Interact with and aid clients and staff professionally and diligently.Prepare various Motions, Objections to Plans, Payment Change Notices, Fee Notices, and Orders associated with representing clients in bankruptcy matters.Attend various court hearings associated with the representation of clients in bankruptcy matters.Manage assigned caseload in a manner that meets goals and client expectations.Handle escalated and time-sensitive matters as needed.Maintain a close and positive relationship with other attorneys and staff to ensure a smooth and productive workflow.Maintain a positive and professional relationship with clients to meet their needs.Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.Requirements:Juris Doctor of Law degree.Preferred 2-5 years of Bankruptcy experience in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases representing lenders and creditors, including attendance at court hearings.Must be admitted to the Texas state bar or the United States Bankruptcy Courts in Texas and be in good standing.Should be admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts in Texas or have eligibility requirements satisfied for admission.Prior bankruptcy experience is preferred.Must be proficient with numbers and basic accounting.Proficient in software tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to identify and solve issues promptly.Team player mentality.Extremely organized and capable of multitasking.Conscientious for work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance.Takes the initiative and is committed to the firm’s vision, mission, and core values.Analytical and detail-oriented, capable of working at a fast pace and multitasking.Develops professional relationships and builds rapport with others.Demonstrates a good work ethic and willingness to adapt to change.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor of Law degree.Admission to the Texas state bar or the United States Bankruptcy Courts in Texas.Admission to practice in the Federal District Courts in Texas or eligibility requirements satisfied for admission.Skills:Proficiency with numbers and basic accounting.Proficiency in software tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Analytical and detail-oriented.Ability to work at a fast pace and multitask.Good work ethic and adaptability to change.Location: Houston, TXBenefits offered:Company Paid Life and Disability Insurance plans.Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans with Prescription coverage.401K Retirement Savings Plan.Flexible scheduling (within reason, depending on position).Generous PTO plan for all full-time employees.A full equipment station, including dual monitors, is available at no cost for remote employees.Employee Assistance Plan offering free 24/7 counseling and consulting services.Wellness programs and employee discounts.Learning and development training opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
