Position: Senior AV Design EngineerLocation: Chicago, ILJoin Our Innovative Engineering Team!We're looking for a Senior Design Engineer with a focus on Audio Visual (AV) systems to join our Chicago-based client. This role is ideal for someone passionate about AV technology and eager to lead the development of innovative AV solutions. You'll play a key role in designing cutting-edge AV systems, improving product functionality, and solving technical challenges. If you're ready to contribute your expertise to a dynamic team and make a tangible impact in the AV industry, we'd love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities: Design and engineer comprehensive AV systems, including video conferencing, digital signage, sound systems, and control systems, from initial concept through to implementation. Collaborate with project managers and clients to identify project requirements, ensuring AV solutions meet or exceed expectations. Lead the technical aspect of project design meetings, providing innovative solutions to complex AV challenges. Develop detailed AV system schematics, signal flow diagrams, and specifications to guide installation and integration teams. Conduct site visits to assess installation environments and ensure compatibility of design with physical spaces. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior design engineers and technical staff, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in AV design and development. Proficiency in AutoCAD software and engineering simulation tools. Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
