We attract and retain premier medical professionals with competitive compensation, benefits, and a nurturing work atmosphere that unites passion and purpose.Learn more about us: https://dhip.dukehealth.org/about-us JOB LOCATION Duke North Carolina Orthopaedic Clinic-3609 SW Durham Dr, Durham, NC 27707 JOB SUMMARY We are seeking an Durable Medical Equipment Coordinator responsible for performing a variety of duties to insure the DME program at their clinic site is run efficiently, safely and profitably. They may be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Properly fitting patients with many different types of orthopaedic braces, custom molded splints and devices within manufacturer guidelines. Review products, introduce them to faculty, and follow process to add them to Epic preference list and educate staff. Train and provide oversight at different locations to verify products are being applied to patients within manufacturer and safety guidelines Review inventory PAR levels and leakage, order stock, and stocking received inventory. Review claims in DME WQs for your site to verify claims are clean and all documentation meets guidelines. Bring outstanding issues to attention of providers, local site leadership and DME Program Manager. Forwarding all invoices to the HCA for payment once confirmation of product is received. Following up with any patient questions/concerns about DME products and billing issues. JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. Recommend Bachelor Degree: Biological science/ Exercise Science/ Kinesiology JOB HOURS The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.Some roles within our organization may encompass essential job functions requiring distinct physical and/or mental capabilities.
