Job Title: Fire Suppression System Technician Type of Job: Full-time Position Location: USDA, Agricultural Research Service Southeast Poultry Research Lab (SEPRL), 934 College Station Road, Athens, Georgia Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Excluding federal holidays Duties: Perform comprehensive testing and certification of all fire suppression equipment. Conduct quarterly inspections of all fire suppression systems installed on the premises to ensure ongoing functionality and full compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Complete hydrant testing to verify functionality and accessibility during emergencies and backflow inspections as necessary. Qualifications: Certification as a Fire Alarm Technician or Fire Protection Specialist preferred. Prior experience conducting inspections and testing of fire suppression systems.
