The successful candidate will provide tailored support to enable the child to access learning opportunities, develop social skills, and manage their emotions effectively. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support to the designated child, both in the classroom and during activities outside of the classroom. Implement individualized learning plans and behavioral strategies, in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where the child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to engage in learning. Help the child develop coping strategies and emotional regulation techniques. Monitor and record progress, contributing to regular reviews and backssments. Communicate effectively with parents/carers, colleagues, and external professionals involved in the child’s support network. Collaborate with the wider school community to promote understanding and awareness of SEMH issues. Requirements: Experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably in an educational setting. Strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning and behavior.
