We are looking for a skilled accountant to play a key role in our growing team. You’ll be responsible for recording all our financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, and posting information to Appfolio property management software. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, detail-oriented, and highly organized. If this sounds like work you’ll love, we’re waiting eagerly for your application! Responsibilities: • Perform bookkeeping duties: Maintain data on financial statements• Ensure all books reconcile with bank statements and prepare financial statements• Manage payroll duties to ensure employees are paid on time• Make sure accounts receivable/payable are complete• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process Qualifications: • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills• Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and basic accounting systems• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field• 2+ years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position Compensation: $40,000 About Company: Total Management NYC is a professional property management firm that specializes in residential Co-op, Condominium & Multi-family property management in New York City.
