Closing Date: March 22, 2024 Job Summary Reporting to the Accountant, the Accounting Clerk will be responsible is responsible for complex posting and timely payment of invoices. This position is also responsible for investigating and resolving related queries from both internal and external parties, preparation of purchase orders, of as well as providing administrative support associated with day-to-day operations. Overview This position is based out of the Galore Creek Mining Corporation Head Office in Vancouver. Located in northwestern British Columbia, Galore Creek is one of the world’s largest undeveloped porphyry copper-gold-silver deposits. Galore Creek Mining Corporation (GCMC), a partnership between Newmont Corporation and Teck Resources Limited, is committed to improving the project economics and advancing the asset towards development. Accounting Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, lead by example and foster a proactive safety and sustainability culture based on the common values of health, safety, environment, and communities shared by the asset owners (Teck and Newmont); Support PO process in the PRISM procurement module by raising PO’s from approved requisitions, performing 3-way matches, and entering invoices against PO’s; Accurately set up vendor master data by verifying vendors with strong focus on fraud preventions; Accurately enter and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports in a timely manner by ensuring proper authorization and proper coding; Respond to accounts payable queries from different departments and suppliers through email, phone, or in person after thorough investigation and analysis; Work with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies.
