Date Posted: 03/07/2024 Req ID: 36432 Faculty/Division: Faculty of Arts & Science Department: UTM: Inst. for Management & Innovation Campus: University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) Course Description: : The Project Management Institute (PMI) defines project management as “the use of specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to deliver something of value to people. ” Through a series of lectures, case discussions and a final project, students will learn about the practice of project management and the complementary tools. They will also gain experience participating in designing, executing and tracking a real project on or off campus. Estimated course enrolment : 25 Class Schedule: June 12, 2024 to August 14, 2024 Sessional Dates of Appointment : June 12, 2024 - August 30 th, 2024 Salary: $17,267.74 (includes 4% vacation pay) Minimum Qualifications: A Ph D or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as management, engineering or another related discipline. Professional designation in project management. Previous graduate teaching experience and demonstration of mastery of the subject area. Preferred Qualiffications : Previous experience teaching project management. Description of duties : All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of interactive, on-line course content, development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams, calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours and maintaining reasonable availability of student contact. The mode of instruction for this course is expected to be on-line in Summer 2024. However, if this changes for any reason, you will be provided with as much advance notice as possible.
