Medical Laboratory Technician

Are you an experienced and qualified medical technician with 2 years of experience and a commitment to exceptional patient care? We’re growing and looking for someone to perform and analyze laboratory tests, and uphold strict safety and privacy standards. MLT license is preferred, but not required, but you must be familiar with lab and medical equipment, medical information systems, laboratory best practices, and medical terminology. The ideal applicant should have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills. If this sounds like a great fit, please apply today! Responsibilities: • Record test results in the laboratory information system • Distribute the collection of test samples of blood, tissue and body fluids• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and diagnostic equipment such as centrifuges and chemistry analyzers• Comply with universal precautions and safety standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment• Conduct laboratory tests such as urinalysis, plasma and serum analysis Qualifications: • You should be familiar with laboratory best practices and equipment• At least 2 years of experience as a medical technician, or medical laboratory technician is essential• An American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) MLT license• Very strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are needed• An associate’s degree in clinical laboratory science from an accredited training program is required• High school diploma or G.E.D required• Aged 18 or older• CPR/First Aid certification preferred, willing to train• Experience in personal care preferred• Rotating shifts will be required over weekends and holidays.
