XTL Transport Inc. a well-established transportation, logistics and warehousing/distribution company, is seeking an Warehouse/Distribution Manager to join its team. The incumbent is responsible for managing all activities of the distribution center. A self-motivated leader, the candidate for this position will be expected to align XTL's values to meet customer needs and corporate objectives in the day-to-day operations of the department. Responsibilities: 1. Activity management - Establish priorities for the center - Establish a daily action plan to manage incoming and outgoing volume - Frequent and regular monitoring of daily operations to ensure that the daily action plan is executed by the staff -Develops and monitors warehouse rules - Responsible for the health and safety of the Center - Responsible for the management of customer inventories - Be able to understand and plan for customer needs while ensuring the transfer of information/training with other team members training with other team members 2. Performance and continuous improvement - Responsible for initiating and monitoring the continuous improvement of the center's activities; - Develop key performance indicators (KPI) that are related but not limited to warehouse costs, productivity, equipment efficiency and others- Develop KPI's related to but not limited to warehouse costs, productivity, equipment efficiency, etc; - Analysis of data related to KPIs; - Implement action plans to influence results and measure actions; 3. Communication and follow-up - Communicate and follow up with the operations team and all shifts on goal achievement, operational progress and share general information. - Organize and lead operational meetings; - Work in close collaboration with the customer service and sales departments to plan the use of resources - Work closely with customer service and sales to plan the use of resources: human, building, equipment; - Communicate and follow up on the center's.
