We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft closing documents and conduct Co-op closings. You will also assist in our foreclosure department. We will train the right person who has law firm experience in closings for the closing part of the job! Responsibilities:• Drafting closing documents related to Co-op transfers (where the firm is the closing agent for Co-ops). NOTE - IF YOU HAVE DONE RESIDENTIAL MORTGAGE CLOSING DOCUMENTS/CLOSINGS, YOU WILL BE QUALIFIED TO PERFORM THIS JOB• Review lien searches• Conduct closings• Work on the plaintiff's mortgage-type foreclosure documents Qualifications: • Talented communicator and writer• Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills• 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting• Transfer Agent closing experience a plus• Seeking an ambitious individual with a strong work ethic Compensation: $50,000+ DOE About Company: Schneider Buchel LLP is a growing law firm with clients throughout New York State.
