The successful Facilities Manager: Facilities managers are involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day reactive maintenance operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises. Likely areas of responsibility include: Liaising with Restaurant managers regarding relevant work of each premise Building and grounds maintenance Ensuring statutory checks are carried out across the company - extraction cleaning, grease management, Fire Safety checks Keeping track of all checks and follow up where necessary Appointing suitable contractors to resolve core maintenance issues Designing maintenance programs Researching for new equipment Handling development and training for new employees in relation to catering equipment Implementing preventive maintenance programs Adhering to Safety Regulations Managing expenditure and costs Attend periodically General Managers meetings to update Directors of annual budget as well as cost outlays Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in FM or Maintenance Management role, ideally in hospitality industry.
