Job Responsibilities: - Position requires a high level of project coordination skills to manage the execution of maintenance activities and network outages. - Fundamental understanding of the OSI Model is required. - Experience must include operational support, and configuration of network devices such as servers, routers, switches, associated software tools, and cabling in a large LAN/MAN/BAN/WAN environment. - Knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP is a Plus. - Knowledge and experience working with wireless technologies, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and WAN Accelerators and associated technologies is highly desirable. - You will be part of a Team of Network Technicians and EngineersOverview of Duties: - Handled outage and maintenance tickets servicing more than 20000 users across more than 12 sites since March 2016 through onsite and remote troubleshooting assistance for layer 1 - 3 issues, hardware installations of new and upgraded routers, switches, McAfee intrusion prevention systems, Aruba wireless controllers, Riverbed Steelhead WANX's, device configurations and reconfigurations, and LAN/WAN outage recovery. - Troubleshooting outages and resolving network-related issues. - Install and upgrade network devices and componentsThis includes switches, routers, and network monitoring devices. - Expected to understand, implement, and follow processes in accordance with current policies and proceduresPerformed escalation and additional tasks as directed. - Investigated, resolved, documented, and reported the cause and corrective actions in the Incident Management System for all incidents assigned by the Service DeskEnterprise Req Skills Network engineering, VoIP, Firewall, Ccna, Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Router, Wan, Bgp, Troubleshooting, Switches Top Skills Details 1Install and upgrade network devices and componentsThis includes switches, routers, and network monitoring devices. 2Experience must include operational support, and configuration of network devices such as servers, routers, switches, associated software tools, and cabling in a large LAN/MAN/BAN/WAN environment 3CCNA Additional Information Networking: - Maintenances - Configuration bundle ticket creation and planning - Design update ticket creation - Maintenance Ticket Creating and planning - Device imaging/staging/configuring/installing - Coordination with customer for impacting maintenances and maintenances requiring physical access - Modernized DSTB kit deployments - 24/7 availability for impacting maintenance done on site - Outage Troubleshooting -24/7 on call supporting all sites - Project Planning - Plan new project deployments with PM - Provide network architecture and infrastructure information to PM - Provide progress updates to PM - Site surveys - Incident Tickets - FS tickets for user connectivity - NOC tickets for any higher level network issue - UPS Tickets (see facilities section below) - Line Items - Move/Add/Change tickets - FOGO maintenance tickets to remove/re-add networking gear and TACLANEs (could include bundle request) - NMCI VOIP tickets (see "Supporting printers / VOIP / VTC / WLAN" section below) - NIPR & SIPR Phone Support - FS Tech supporting user port troubleshooting - IP VLAN scheme information provided on request - NIPR & SIPR Access Layer - Programming of CISCO and Brocade running configurations - initial configuration - VLAN configuration - port security / dot1x / mab - Switch Capacity Reporting - Asset Management - Tracking asset information and HPSM - Updating Asset Management Team when changes are made - Updating CI asset information in HPSM - GDA Support - Device Receive/Return Shipping through vendor or MECH - RMAs Submission/Shipping/Receiving/Installation - Coordination with vendors for T1 and DSL circuit troubleshooting - Supporting printers / VOIP / VTC / WLAN - VOIP/WLAN Server Configurations and installations - Coordination with VTC team - Continued NOC/DISA Coordination for Circuit/Network Issues - Coordination with NAVNETWARCOM on high level projects and issues - Vendor Support Coordination for network issues (Cisco, Brocade, Riverbed, Aruba, ...) - ENAC/CPPM Network Device Entry Requests/Troubleshooting - New hire training - New hire account setup - New hire VAR submission requests - 24/7 On-Call - Managing 16,300+ NIPR User device Connections and 1000+ NIPR Network Devices across 20+ Sites + the SIPR Network with 300+ devices IA: - Outage Troubleshooting - LE Duties (TACLANE Configurations, Re-keying, firmware upgrades, battery replacements, installs...) - Escorting (MLPA ISP tech, STRAN, Audit teams...) - Asset tracking - 200+ Supported Devices - 24/7 On-Call
