Salary: $85,000 - $130,0000Location: Hybrid SUMMARY The Instructional Designer/Facilitator is a subject matter expert in the development and facilitation of learning events, learning plans and materials. They are responsible for engaging, consulting and collaborating with company stakeholders to develop and deliver high-quality learning events needed to enhance employee and company performance objectives. This position focuses on developing and implementing a companywide leadership development program. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience and success in leadership development. A second major component of this position involves the development and application of instructional technologies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following, additional duties may be assigned: Instructional Development and Recordkeeping Applies knowledge of best practices in instructional design and development. Designs and develops innovative and engaging learning materials (e-learning, computer-based training, instructor led training, job aids, user procedures) to meet organizational needs. Works effectively with subject matter experts and leaders across the organization to develop programs that are accurate, effective, and instructionally sound utilizing online, self-study, and classroom mediums. Maintains files and records on the Manson Learning Network SharePoint site. Inputs training data into the Training Records and Experience Database (T-REx). M aintains project documentation and creates training reports as needed . Pursues professional development assignments to ensure continuous skill enhancement and growth. Facilitation Coaches and advises construction field leaders on best practices in communication and training delivery. Effectively facilitates targeted learning sessions using multiple delivery methods (e.g. in person, virtual classroom, conference calls, Tool Box Training) and on multiple technology platforms. Effectively delivers classes in virtual and in-person learning environments. Instructional Technology Applications Familiar with the basic functions of learning management systems. Manages companywide online learning campaigns on both the Manson LMS and on vendor platforms. Configure, deploy, and manage computers and tablets used for learning and development activities. Assist in the development of instructional technology solutions including microlearning videos, online courseware, mobile applications, augmented reality/virtual reality, among others. Provides technical support and troubleshooting to end users for their online training. Collaboration And Interaction Influences positive behavior in others to foster a work environment that demonstrates respect and understanding for diversity by serving as a role model in critical areas of human interaction, teamwork and leadership. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral. Forms collaborative relationships easily with the L&D Team, Manson staff, management and leadership at all levels of the organization with ability to build upon constructive feedback. Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously. High energy and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. Meets project timelines with little supervision. Demonstrates honest, professional, and ethical behavior. Ensures compliance with Manson's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct. Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment. Manage controllable expenses including travel, training materials and office supply usage. You adhere to pertinent Manson risk controls and policies, and all applicable laws and regulations. Participate in special projects and other assignments as required. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform satisfactorily the essential duties and responsibilities noted above. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Undergraduate degree in education-related field plus 8-years practical experience developing L&D programs, or 10-years equivalent work experience in learning and development programming. 1 year of experience in developing and managing companywide leadership programs. Experience in the construction industry a plus. 1 year of demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and application. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Industry recognized instructor/facilitator credential, preferred. COMPUTER SKILLS Advanced competency in MS Office Suite. Proficiency in use of SharePoint and MS Teams for project collaboration. Basic knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools. Skilled in the use of Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom and TalentLMS a plus. Basic knowledge of database structure and operation. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, In Design a plus. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) in order to conduct job site visits (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc.), and able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures.
