In these roles, you will support or lead the development of software systems for products and systems within the maritime defence environment. This will provide the opportunity to operate in a lead capability, or to develop into a lead role in the future. Currently there are opportunities for a Principal Software Engineer, a C++ Software Engineer and a Java Engineer. Key skills/experience required: ESSENTIAL: Knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering, specialising in C++ or Java Preferably have an understanding of military systems, in particular maritime systems Understanding of Open Systems Architectures and Principleinteractionperience of Software Engineering Lifecycle processes and tools Ability to solve complex problems and to critically review results and methods to ensure quality Ability to expand knowledge into new domain areas, work across domains and see the bigger picture Excellent communication skills, including delivery of presentations Good written skills including technical report writing, ability to communicate with both experts and non-experts Being a company that advocated a work/life balance, not only will you be generously compensated for your work, but you will also be provided with the tools and option to work in a hybrid model.
